two-day intensive in Max/Jitter

Start:
11:00am

End:
6:00pm

Adjunct Prof. Josh Goldberg will be teaching a two-day intensive in Max/Jitter between now and the end of the semester. For those who don't know, Max is a visual programing language similar to PureData - they share the same creator - used often for building roll-your-own audio and video applications. If you saw Anton Marini's beautiful VJ program V001 at reMUX - its all Max under the hood.

The workshop was originally scheduled for Graduate students but there are some openings for Undergrads, and even non-Poly students for a fee, if there is room.

Arduino Hacklab

Start:
9:00am

End:
2:00pm

The Arduino Hacklab now has its own webpage: NYC Arduino Hacklab

Attention! This was rescheduled to Sunday, Dec 3rd!

We spend enough time alone staring at our computers; we are proposing to work together. So often issues that arise when working can be solved with a quick two minute discussion that would take hours to solve alone. We have Dorkbot to see people's work, we have Share where anyone can play, we have workshops and universities to learn from. But we don't have a meeting where we all can come to work.

The idea is to get a bunch of people together working on projects using the same tools or in the same field. Come alone or as a group, form impromptu working groups or work individually. When you have an idea or a problem, you will be in the company of helpful brains to turn to. What it key here is that this is a place for people to come and get actual work done.
